$1300 Stimulus Rebate Payment: How can you claim this Payment?

The Minnesota Department of Revenue has decided to replace rebate checks that have already run out because they haven’t been cashed. These changes give people in Minnesota the chance to get a big cash boost.

The State Government’s website states that 128,000 one-time tax rebate checks issued in 2023 were not deposited and expired.
Nevertheless, we have resent these payments to the most recent address on file.

In contrast to the previous rebate, these checks will not expire for two years, allowing individuals to claim their windfall if they either neglect to cash them or do not have access to them.

Minnesota’s Department of Revenue asserts that they have issued 2.1 million payments, resulting in a total payout of approximately $1 billion due to a new law implemented in May 2023. This implies that you are not required to act if you are eligible.

The one-time rebate law offers eligible taxpayers payments of up to $1,300, with $520 allocated to married couples who file a joint return and have an adjusted gross income of $150,000 or less. The amount paid is $260 for all other individuals with an adjusted gross income of $75,000 or less.

You will be charged an additional $260 for each dependent you claim on your return, with a maximum of $780 for up to three dependents.
