The majority of caregivers focus on one adult, while 15% care for two individuals, and 3% care for three or more adults. Interestingly, many caregivers are elderly themselves, with their caregiving responsibilities increasing over time. Those caring for someone 65 or older are, on average, 63 years old, and a significant number report being in poor health.
