Day of Hope: History

Our only hope in a desperate scenario keeps us going and keeps us sane. Many people want pleasure and fulfillment, which leads to abuse, neglect, deprivation, and molestation of children.

Unfortunately, millions of deserving children are physically and psychologically tortured, many of whom die. It deeply wounds our humanity and conscience, inspiring the Day of Hope.

Day of Hope, an organization founded by Yvonne Fedderson and Sara O’Meara, originated as their charitable non-profit enterprise, International Orphans Inc., which underwent a name change to ‘Childhelp’. Its primary objective is to advocate for the well-being of children worldwide and assure them of their acceptance and affection. Its mission is to deliver aid and support to child victims worldwide, while also raising awareness among the general public regarding the critical importance of safeguarding and protecting children.

According to research, children from abusive homes are more likely to become abusive, abuse drugs and alcohol, commit crimes, or took ones life. The Day of Hope reminds us that protecting children worldwide is our top priority.
